Pray for Muslims

“This year’s Islamic month of prayer and fasting begins August 1st and ends August 30th. During Ramadan, most Muslims fast from dawn until dusk, seeking to purify themselves from their sins. They believe Ramadan is a time of purification, accomplished through good deeds and self-control.”

The billions of people who practice the Islam religion are in desperate need of a revelation of Truth and God’s love. They are God’s children, the same as we are, and it is our responsibility to love them, reach out to them, and pray for them. A large majority of these people live in fear from superstitions and fear of leaving their community of fellow-believers. Often those that do convert to Christianity are ridiculed, shunned, beaten, and some are killed. Their religion is not one of a gracious and merciful God who forgives their sin through His shed blood on the cross, but rather one where salvation has to be earned from a god who may or may not be a in good mood when they stand before him during judgement. Their god is unapproachable and having a personal relationship with him is not a possibility. They need God’s hope, and our prayers.
