The National Day of Prayer
is held annually on the first Thursday of May. This is a
time for Christians across the US to unite together in
prayer for our country. There are usually community
functions on this day. This year there seems to be more
to pray for than ever before; the upcoming presidential
elections, the raising cost of living, home
foreclosures, violence, ect. Here are some ways that you
can help your kids pray for the nation.
- Join in a
community prayer meeting.
- Do a prayer walk
around your neighborhood or government buildings.
- Take time to pray
specifically for your local government officials and
send them a note letting them know you are praying
for them.
- Pray for national
leaders.
These are prayer ideas
that you can use through out the year as well as on the
National Day of Prayer. |
