The Bible is a personal letter from God to us. If someone so important
has written such a loving and thoughtful letter to
us...why not write HIM one back? To write a letter to
God, try these topics.
Thank you Lord
Everyone loves to receive thank you notes. God is no
exception. Start your letter by thanking the Lord for
what you have learned from the Bible about Him, yourself
and your family.
Help me, Lord
Ask him to help your with your responsibilities. The
Christian life is often not doing what comes naturally
but what comes supernaturally. None of us can handle
this life apart from God’s help. His power and resources
are available by asking.
I confess, Lord
Next confess to the Lord anything standing between
you and Him. To confess means to agree with What God
says. You can ask him forgiveness just as you would a
friend whom you have wronged.
Now send your letter to
God by reading it to him as a personal prayer. Keep
your letters and you can look back and see how God
answers you. If you have brothers or sisters you may
want to keep your letters in a safe spot!
