Have you been looking for ways to incorporate your kids into the grownup worship service? There are several different ways to do this. One of the easiest ways is to ask the church leadership if there is an area in the sanctuary that can be designated as the kids worship area. If there is have the kids meet you there every time they are in “big” church.

Another way to get kids actively involved in worship is to teach them songs that are sung in “big” church with motions they can remember. Encourage the kids to use these motions anytime they hear the song and let them know that you will be doing it also. If you use praise banners, hankies or instruments during the worship time with your groups during the week ask for permission to use them during the grown up service. Another good idea is to ask people who are worshippers to join the group. This will not only give the kids an other example of worship but will help you with crowd control.

The most important thing to remember is that kids will follow your example. If you want them to worship then you are going to have to worship. As their leader they will watch you during services and you may not even realize it. If you are willing to worship with all of your heart no matter what it looks like to others then your kids will develop that same desire.
