Wow can you
believe it is 2010? I received an email the other
day that said most high school graduates entering
college this year were born in 1991. I don't know
about you but I was in middle school then. I
actually had a child this weekend tell me that if I
was two years older I would be three times his age.
Times have changed. Technology is greater and
changes almost as soon as the newest product is out.
The news gets information to people 24 hours a day.
We are constantly being bombarded with the things
that are happening around the world. It's a little
overwhelming isn't it?
Imagine what it
must be like to be six, seven, nine, eleven, or any
age between. They are facing pressures we can't even
imagine. Every week I see prayer requests for
children with terminal illnesses. Kids see their
parents stressing out because of the economy. They
learn at school to start planting gardens not only
because it is "green" but also to help out in these
troubled times. There are kids who are growing up
too fast because they have to take care of their
siblings while their parents work two jobs or extra
hours just to get by. A majority of the kids we
work with have always grown up with the threat of
terrorism in their country.
They need someone
to bring them hope. To remind them that no matter
what is happening God is in control and He has a
plan for them. We need to create safe
environments for them to develop a close
relationship with God.
That is the desire
of this website. You may notice on the left side
there are archives dating back to January 2004.
There are many resources and ideas within the pages
of this website. I encourage you to pray about
the children you are working with, then look through
our archives and just see what God has in store.
This generation
is going to be a great generation! Let's stand
together and build a hedge to protect them as they
prepare to be used by God.
