This years kids prayer
summit was awesome. We covered some tough subjects
but the kids were ready and willing to learn. Our
theme this year was Building Faith. We taught about
prayer giftings, the Armor of God, spiritual gifts,
faith and rewards. After each of these sessions
there was a listening time and God shared things
with each individual child. Many of the kids left
knowing what spiritual gift(s) God had given them.
God told one girl she had the gift of healing. She
began praying with people who needed healing that
weekend and has heard back from several that God did
heal them.
We had several
games that dealt with prayer. The kids had lots of
fun doing those and praying too! For some of the
games go here. One of the other things we did was
talk about strongholds. The kids asked God what
strongholds he wanted them to pray for and then
wrote them on a piece of paper with bricks on it.
After that prayer time the paper was taped over a
door. Then the kids prayed again one at a time and
after each prayer they were able to tear a piece of
the wall down, until it all came down. (To see
pictures from the weekend go
here.)
So many things
happened that weekend but the best part was being
able to see prayers answered. Below are some of the
materials we used.
