Camp meetings are
getting better. You may ask why I am saying that.
For the past few years, church camps across the
nation are including special services for children
in their Camp meeting schedules. I believe this is
because God is opening the church’s eyes in the last
days. Now is not the time to entertain our
children, but to empower them with the knowledge of
how to call on the powerful name of Jesus and to put
the gifts of the spirit in operation.
This summer in
Olla, Louisiana we had an awesome time worshipping
God for four nights during Camp meeting with a group
of about 75 children between the ages of 5-12. The
main objective of Kid Ex-Plosion was for these
children to become conscious of Psalm 8:2 – “God’s
enemies are silenced when children praise and
worship”. Banners, ribbons, and balloons were used
to facilitate worship and praise. Anything we do as
worship to God, he receives that as worship. The
children loved “silencing the enemy” and making him
play the “quiet game” for the rest of the night.
They couldn’t seem to get enough worship time.
Every night they kept showing up earlier and earlier
for church. It’s so exciting to see that the
more children experience the supernatural
powers of God, the more they want. When children
realize that they have faith to minister to others,
extraordinary things begin to happen.
The greatest
service of the week was the Healing Service on
Thursday night. We split the children into small
groups with a prayer leader and prayed over the
needs of these children, their families and
friends. We anointed over 100 prayer band-aids to
send home with the children. Most of these requests
were for parents and grandparents with cancer and
back problems. God answered many prayers as a
result of these children’s faith. I truly
believe that God is raising up a generation to
become Worship Warriors, and I can’t wait to see
what will happen next.
