Kids Prayer Summit Report
Our focus was on
Family Prayer this year at the annual NLC
Kids Prayer Summit held in Bridgeton, Missouri.
Close to thirty children attended, many of them
for their first summit. Provided in download
form below is our schedule as well as detailed
information we used as a team during the five+
hours of training.
This year we
provided take home "Family Prayer Zone" kits and
it seems most of the parents and kids were glad
to have them. Included in the kits were
instructions, etc. to help parents during
devotion time to provide kid-friendly
activities, especially in the area of prayer.
Those are also available for you to view/use in
download form below.
We will be
tracking growth in this area since the summit
among our church members. Check back for future
updates showing pictures from home, testimonies,
etc. We want to track how this summit impacted
family prayer at home. For those kids who do not
come from a Christian or two-parent home, we are
working with them as a church family to help
connect them through prayer.

I am always amazed at how the kids seem to
sense that it is not just another kid’s service.
I always feel like the kids have a special
reverence in these meetings. One of the girls
brought her compass and her globe with her to SS
class. In another “coincidence” our lesson on
Sunday was about prayer so we were able to recap
some of the things that they had learned on
Fri/Sat for those that weren’t there. I have
feedback from the kids that I will be getting to
you soon. (I will post here once
received).

There were some kids that really, really,
really took the key ceremony to heart. You could
tell during the prayer time who did or didn't.
Here is what is cool that I noticed. The kids
that were praying over by us Sunday night were a
few of those that took it to heart. I really
feel that they absolutely took...the keys and
were using them, and will continue to use them.
I am also hoping that GLOW realized how much
they actually ministered Sunday night. I have
nothing super profound but if Sunday night is
evidence then some amazing things are fixing to
happen, birthed in this Summit.

I was blessed tremendously during the Kids
Prayer Summit. Thank you for allowing me to be
part of such an awesome group of young people.
They blessed my socks off. |
