Kids & Intercession
- South Africa Report
From
missionary Dan Davis
In a country where there is
over 40% unemployment, we are constantly faced with
the challenge of helping people to find work. Well, we
have found an answer to the challenge. Each week we have
over 40 children who attend our church from a township
called Thokoza (tah-KO-zah). This is an extremely poor
area and work is very scarce. Recently, however, the
Lord has performed several miracles.
A precious
Sister in the church, Julia, takes the children to
her home every Sunday for afternoon prayer. Many of the
children have been requesting prayer for their mothers
to get work and in the last two weeks, four mothers have
received jobs! To God be the glory! But there is more,
that's not the end of the story.
During
a recent youth service, we had some of the mothers
show up and ask the children to pray for them that they
might also receive work. The people are saying, "Go and
have those children pray for you and you will get work!"
What an awesome God and what an awesome faith
demonstrated by the children.
