MONDAY
NIGHT PRAYER,
AN
INTERGENERATIONAL EXPERIENCE!
The last Monday night prayer in September was used
as a time of intergenerational prayer at New Life
Center in Bridgeton, Missouri. For the first time
ever, adults, youth and kids teamed up for a night
of focused, kid-friendly prayer. For two years the
children of New Life had been in prayer training and
experiencing new heights in intercession, kingdom
praying, and answered prayers. The time was right to
share what they'd learned with the rest of the local
church body.
Ten stations (tables) were set up to focus on ten different ways to
pray for the kingdom and personal needs. As people
came into the gym (where the prayer event was
hosted), they were given a group number to join.
Each group was made up of various generations, and
they traveled to stations of their choice together.
At each station participants would add a link to a
"prayer chain" that they could take home to help
them remember the special night. Out of 10 stations,
8 were for kingdom prayer, only two were for
personal needs. These kids (and this church) are
kingdom minded (Matthew 6:33)!

each station to use in a similar event of your own
or for ideas. |
