Tribal
people live mostly in Australia, Africa, South
America and even North America.
They believe everything has a spirit (water, rocks,
sun, animals). They worship spirits and are afraid
of making them mad. They also worship idols and
practice witchcraft and go
to witch doctors. |

Hindus
live mostly in India, Nepal, Suriname, Sri Lanka,
and Bali (Indonesia).
They believe in millions of gods who are good and evil. They
worship idols by giving them flowers and food every
day. Hindus believe that when they die they will
come back again as another person or as an animal
(cow, sheep, bug). Because of that, they don't eat
meat. |

The
largest group lives in China, and others live mostly
in Communist countries such as North Korea, Laos,
and Vietnam.
Their governments tell the people that there is no God and that
only the government can help them. There are not
enough Bibles and pastors for all the people who
become Christians. For example, in China, only 1 in
5 Christians have a Bible. |

Muslims
live mostly in West and North Africa, Middle East,
Central Asia, South Asia, and Indonesia.
They believe in one divine being, called Allah, whose messenger was
Mohammad. They believe that Jesus was just a good
prophet, not God. They believe they have to earn
their way to heaven by doing more good deeds than
bad deeds. |

Buddhists live mostly in Southeast Asia (Thailand,
Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Tibet), Mongolia,
and Japan.
They believe there are many paths to God. They believe that
meditation, yoga, and martial arts are some of the
ways to become "enlightened." Most Buddhists have an
altar in their home or workplace where they worship
idols. |

TRIBAL...
Isaiah 41:10 -- Heavenly Father, I pray for tribal people to
hear that You are the only God and in control of everything.
I pray that they would put their trust in You so that they
won't be afraid any more.
Psalm 119:11 -- O Lord, please bring people to translate the
Bible into tribal languages so that the tribal children can
hide Your Word in their hearts.
Romans 1:19, 20; John 17:3 -- God, when the tribal people
look at Your creation, help them see the truth about You
because You made it clear. Guide them, Jesus, to you!
Ephesians 6:20 -- Holy God, help those who have left their
tribal roots to follow Christ. Make them fearless and bold
as they tell their family and friends about Jesus.

I Timothy
2:5 -- Jesus, I pray
that the Hindus would turn away from their many gods and
serve You, the one true God!
II Timothy 3:12 -- Lord, Your Word says that Your followers
will be persecuted. I pray for the Hindus who become
Christians. Give them strength if they are beaten. Let their
persecutors come to know you, Jesus.
Luke 10:2 -- Lord of the harvest, send Christians who were
born Hindu to tell other Hindus in their country about Your
great love. There are so many who need to hear.
Matthew 25:35-26, Genesis 9:3 -- Heavenly Father, cause the
poor in Hindu countries to experience your love through Your
people. Teach them that You gave them animals for food, not
to worship.

Psalm 107:20
-- Jesus, send unreligious people Bibles because Your Word
will heal them and rescue them from death.
Acts 5:29, 6:4 -- Holy God, raise up
more pastors among them who obey You and who give all of
their attention to prayer and Your Word.
Titus 2:7-8 -- Lord, when Christians come from other
countries to teach English in China, help them to set a good
example. Remind them to be honest and watch what they say so
that their students notice them acting like You, Jesus.
Micah 6:8 -- Father, I pray for the Communist leaders, that
they would rule fairly and show mercy and that they would
learn to walk with You without pride.

Psalm

-- O Lord, I thank You that You do not keep a record of our
sins. Help Muslims know that You forgive sins and that
salvation is by faith and not by works.
Matthew 5:10-12 -- Father, bless the Muslims who become
Christians and are kicked out of their families or villages.
Help them to stay strong and rejoice because of their reward
in heaven.
Joel 2:28 -- Holy Spirit, please speak to Muslims through
dreams and visions to let them know that Jesus is God.
I Corinthians 16:13 -- O God, thank You for the missionaries
working in dangerous places like Afghanistan, Israel,
Albania, North India, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Bless them
for risking their lives. Help them stand firm in their faith
and be strong and courageous.

BUDDHIST...
John 14:6
-- Jesus, I pray for Buddhists to believe that there is only
one path to You which leads to salvation.
Ephesians 1:17-18 -- Mighty God, as the Buddhists look for
truth, open their spiritual eyes and enlighten their hearts
so that they may know You and Your power as the Truth.
Psalm 68:5, John 14:18, Romans 8:14-16 -- Abba, I pray for
Buddhist children who live in orphanages. Send them Your
Word so that they will know You as Father to the fatherless.
Adopt them into Your family.
Colossians 4:3 -- Jesus, open a door for Your message to the
countries whose governments do not allow Christian
missionaries to work in their countries. Do it so that Your
name may be proclaimed.
