Check out how these kids are doing their
"jobs." Looks
like fun to me!

Kids Prayer Jobs...
Did you know that there are at least two very important jobs you need to be doing as a Christian right now?

Your first "job" is praise/worship. When you do this job well, the enemies of God are silent (which means people, even you, can hear God clearer). Check out what Psalm 8:2 says in the New Living Translation.
Your second "job" is to pray for others...first. You need to pray for others before you pray for yourself. Check out Matthew 6:33.
- You need to pray for others you don't know and whom you may never meet on earth. This is called "Kingdom Praying." You can pray for places like the 10/40 Window, orphans, widows, homeless, government leaders, etc.
- You also need to pray for those who you do know like friends, family, teachers, pastor, etc. Don't be afraid to offer to pray for someone if you think they need it. Practice a lot so you can learn to pray "on the spot" prayers (and not always wait 'till you get home).


Kids in Baltimore, Maryland "keep their praise up" using balloons. It was fun, but Jesus was lifted up and His enemies were silenced.		These kids were taught to pray for our leaders in government that God would help them make good decisions for all the people in our nation.


These kids did their jobs well. At a "school of prayer" they learned to worship using music and praise banners. Then, they learned to pray for others first before getting into groups to pray for those they know.			These kids prayed for missionaries at a huge conference and were such a blessing!


These kids prayed for new people they just met "on the spot" at a nursing home.	While their teacher was away on a missions trip, these kids prayed using a map and a photo of their teacher.	There are kids all over North America and the world learning to do their "jobs" well. It's very important. This group is from Texas.

The kids in this church in Colorado learned a kind of "conga" and a "Bangla" worship style. They had a blast. Then, of course they prayed for their friends...and even their pastor.

These kids from Florida used an Africa style of worship (waving hankies) and had a blast. They even do it in big church. Sometimes kids cry when they pray hard for others. Has that ever happened to you?

It's important for the older kids to help teach the younger kids how to do a good job in the church. These older kids (upper elementary) are sharing what they have learned with the littler kids.

One of the coolest ways to learn to pray for others is to put yourself in their place if you can. These pictures show how a small group of kids had their worship and prayer time outside much like they do in tribal areas. They worshipped, then learned some prayer needs, then waited on God to speak to them...right under the trees and stars. This kind of thing is NORMAL for praying kids who want to do a good job.
