Kids Prayer Crusade in
Bangladesh FEBRUARY
2006 |
 |
Kids from all around the country gathered for a Kids Prayer Crusade in
the capitol city of Dhaka. Between 50-70 were present for each of the
six training sessions. It was wonderful! 24 were filled to overflowing
with the Holy Spirit. Take a look at this report, and see for yourself
what God is doing in Bangladesh through a church that has opened their
hearts to children of all ages. |

Kids Prayer goes to
Bangladesh...and is an answered prayer of a kids prayer leader in
Denver, CO. She has been praying that kids prayer would go there for
quite some time.
-------------
God answered her prayer when I went on this trip. |

I flew on four planes to
get to Bangladesh! |
I was warmly greeted by 50+
kids on my first day in session. |
This pastor's daughter
(brown dress), taught a
song to the rest of the group before learning the
"Crazy Song." |

Praying for the unreligious
who live in Asia. |
Praying a dismissal prayer -
this boy liked to volunteer! |
These kids prayed to welcome
Jesus into the room. |

After getting quiet and
listening for the voice of
Jesus, these children began drawing and writing
what He said to them. |

|
Over one half of all the
kids present said they heard Jesus with their "Spiritual Ears" tell them
to get ready because He wanted to come into their heart. We teachers,
sensitive to the Holy Spirit, changed our course for the day and focused
on teaching the kids about getting ready to receive Jesus. It was a
wonderful time! See some of their pictures and writings below (click the
pictures to enlarge them). Bangladeshi's do not speak English and they
use the Arabic alphabet, so you may have trouble reading what they
wrote. :) |

Learning about "High Fives" |
Worshipping with adults in
the main service. Wow! What awesome worship. |
I made a new friend! |
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
Yum! Snack time. People who
came to the crusade stayed at the church,
slept on the floor, and ate yummy snacks/meals like this one. |
Time to say goodbye! |

This visitor received a
prayer cloth from a national pastor...who had received it a year ago
from a kids prayer group in the States. |
Prayerwalking through
a college campus - we
just wanted to
acknowledge God's glory
every place our feet stepped. |
On the main college campus,
this marker is a Hindu prayer for peace. It seems Muslims and Hindus are
seriously seeking the "Prince of Peace." |
During the prayer walk, I
noticed these electric wires - they look like spider webs!
It reminded me to pray for protection from fire
hazards in the old city. |

Street scenes. They use
bicycle carts called "rickshaws" to go on short trips through the city.
During our prayer walk, we took rickshaws to the mosque, Hindu temple,
and a few other important places in "Old Dhaka" -
the capitol city of Bangladesh...over 14 million people live there in a
very small area. |

At the Muslim "Star Mosque"
we learned that the 8:00 prayer time for Muslims is completely devoted
to praying for the return of Jesus. Wow! This will help me pray with
more understanding for Muslims around the world. |
We prayer walked at the site
of the Ganges River,
which is a holy river to Hindus. We went onto this boat that is like a
bus that floats to pray more clearly for
those who so desperately need to learn about Jesus. |

This Hindu girl needs to
hear about Jesus. Though most of the country is Muslim, about 16% of the
population are Hindu. |
This boy (on the left) was
just made a "Braman", in
a ceremony at the Hindu temple. He needs to
learn who Jesus is...the Most High God! |
Our prayer covering was
working very well! On the way to church we thought we had a flat
tire...but instead found out that 3 of 4 lugs broke off. We were driving
on one good lug. The driver fixed it, but adding only one
more...eventually, he added the other two that needed
to be replaced. Thanks for your prayers! |
