How Alex was SAVED FROM A
TWISTER!
A huge tornado was headed right toward Alex, Emilee and Allison's
house. Their dad told them to get in the bathroom because it was the
safest place to run to. They were scared, but they started to pray.
Their dad saw the HUGE twister headed right toward their house just
before he joined them in the shelter of their bathroom. He told the
kids, "pray that the funnel cloud will divide!" So they did. And guess
what? That's just what happened. And the twister went around their
subdivision and down the street. See the picture of the trees
that were toppled? The
prayers of Alex, Emilee and Allison were stronger than the wind that
knocked them down!! Jesus answers the prayers of kids just like you!
That is so cool!!
In November 2005 a
tornado 3,000 feet wide threatened Alex's neighborhood.
Allison, Alex and
Emilee were huddled in this
bathroom during the storm...praying! Their mom and
dad were there too. Their dad had seen the tornado just
before it turned away from their house.
The terrible twister
tore trees right out
of the ground.
This little bit of
damage to their roof was that the tornado could do to their
house because of their
powerful prayers.
One kind of funny
thing happened - their trampoline
ended up on their roof.
This gas station was
hit by the tornado. The roof was ripped off by the high winds
and the walls fell down. It's
a miracle that the people inside were not hurt.
You know, it's really cool that Alex and his sisters had power
through prayer that was stronger than that huge tornado. But
just so you know, this isn't the first time Alex, Emilee and
Allison have been used powerfully in prayer. They have been
practicing a lot by praying with others who need God's help and
blessing.
If you want your prayers to be powerful, get lots of practice so
when the time comes and if there is an emergency, you can be
mighty in faith like these kids were. The more you pray, the
stronger you get.
