Kids Prayer in
a Nursing Home? Why not! It was an experience none of the kids or
grown-ups will ever forget!
Shekinah Kids were invited to a Nursing Home for one
of their Sunday morning services. So they went.
Live music and
singing hymns were a favorite for
the 56 elderly who
gathered for service.
John has a great
singing voice and uses it to sing hymns every week during
the service.
There were LOTS of
smiles!
Kids sang hymns and then gave testimonies about answered
prayers. Larissa (middle in pink) gave a testimony about her
grandpa who was saved just before he passed away because of a
written prayer she gave him.
Kids did two worship
songs with motions and taught a few of the
motions to the seniors.
Everyone who came to
the service received
a handmade gift from the Shekinah Kids
with a note attached to let them know
they are loved!
Ministry time was so
cool. Everyone who came had at least one kid pray for them,
asking God's blessings.
When we pray for
others
sometimes we get to be a part of the answer. We pray often for
kids and unreached people, but we shouldn't forget to pray for
the elderly who could really use a kid's prayer or two.
Before going home,
everyone had special prayer, one at a time.
These kids were invited back and can't wait to go again.
